THE BEGINNING
Estd in 1805 in Lahore, Gobind Ram Kahan Chand carefully curated and preserved the scented secrets of the Mughal empress, Nur Jahan, so every subject could know the distinct and royal scents of Her Highness. These secrets were passed on for generations, perfected by Dr. KL Bhatia over decades and brought to life by me, his grand-daughter - Pallavi Bhatia

THE MIGRATION
Leaving everything behind after the partition in 1947, Dr.KL Bhatia along with his family moved to Old Delhi, India. He had nothing but a couple of diaries of his classic attar formulations. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes , he started selling his most famous blends from this shop in Old Delhi. Little did he know, his best years were ahead of him. He created some of his life’s bestsellers in this phase.

THE EXPLORATION
I decided to recreate some of the extraordinary concoctions my grandfather developed. Having a couple of his diaries and old books, I began my journey. I started spending a lot of my time cooped up in a small space I liked to call my laboratory. I felt in tune with this place. A visitor looking at my desk would find it littered with dozens of tightly sealed little bottles, test blotter-holders shaped like windmills, the precious diaries with a myraid formulae, colored pens, boxes of junk and my grandfather’s spectacles

After six years of research and development with the diaries and courses and blending workshops with Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre, Kannauj and packaging expeditions in Paris, OLFA ORIGINALS was born.
